WEEK 2

In the second week, we we’re introduced to design think method, we learned how to make interviews, how to empathize to get insights and we start the immersion in thematic, so we attended some lectures on the theme of childhood. So we were divided into groups, according to our personalities by the project tutors, to develop and discover our sub-challenge. The general challenge of this edition of Lapassion is “How to improving life conditions of children”, and our sub-challenge is in the area of Education. All the participants of the project are very kind and throughout the week we have spent a lot of time to get to know the city. For me, the biggest challenge of the project until now has been communication in Spanish and the miss of my home, because this is the first time that I have stayed so far away from home.

During this week I met the imposing building of the Legislative Palace. It is a tourist spot that I will certainly recommend to all my friends who want to get to know Montevideo. The architecture is breathtaking. I met the Prado neighborhood together with Sabrina, Fran, Alejandra and Rocío, where we had the pleasure of taking a guided tour with Jenniffer, our Uruguayan friend and neighborhood resident (there is nothing better than knowing the city with someone who is a resident). We know the Municipal Museum of Fine Arts Juan Manuel Blanes, Japanese Garden, Botanical Garden and Rosedal. Then we went to the Alliance Française and see a presentation by Luciano Supervielle. It was a very fun week and we were able to bond with our friends on the project.
